I’m exploring the world of Webdesign and Front-End Development
while continuing to develop my skills in photography and painting.
Let us work together...
My journey into web design began with a WordPress site I built for my husband and I continued working with WordPress at my job, updating the website, creating posts, and designing landing pages for campaigns.
This experience led me to front-end development, and I completed a course at CodeFactory in Vienna. Most of the projects in this portfolio were created during that course.
In photography all is simpler for me.
When I see something beautiful, my hand immediately reaches for my phone — I have to take a picture. I want to capture that moment, that beauty, so it doesn’t disappear and stays with me forever.
I really enjoy looking through my travel photo albums later on, reliving those past moments again and again.
As a child, you couldn’t tear me away from my paints — I loved the process itself, whether the result was good or not. Later, I stopped for many years.
A trip to Italy, surrounded by creative, inspiring people, rekindled that passion. Now, I’m back in the process — just like in childhood — learning again how to express my emotions and the world around me on canvas and paper.
This is my honest take on where I currently stand in web design. There’s still a lot ahead, but I believe I’m moving in the right direction.
Hi! My name is Elena Lakner, and I’m a beginner web designer with a passion for creativity and visual storytelling. I enjoy exploring the world of design through websites, photography, and art.
My journey into web design started with a simple WordPress site I built for my husband — and I was instantly hooked. The idea of turning concepts into something visual and interactive online sparked a real passion in me. Soon after, I began working with WordPress at my day job — updating the company website and social media, creating posts, and designing landing pages for special campaigns. That hands-on experience inspired me to dive deeper into front-end development, and I eventually completed a course at CodeFactory Vienna. I also have many years of experience working with database development in FileMaker, which has given me a basic understanding of back-end web development.
In my free time, I love capturing moments with my smartphone and expressing ideas through digital and traditional art. This portfolio is a reflection of my journey as a creative — combining design, photography, and painting to share what inspires me.
